@wild.ark are so excited to announce that we are partnering with the Tuke Community and Baia Sportfishing Lodge on our second conservation project the Tuke Rainforest Conservancy, a 42,000 acre rainforest conservancy  located deep in the Nakanai Mountains on the island of New Britain, Papua New Guinea. The Nakanai Mountains were proposed as a World Heritage site in 2006 by the PNG government and are still on the tentative list. Since then the island has been heavily logged and cleared for palm plantations, leaving only pockets of lowland forest intact. Luckily large tracts of remote Montane forest, such as the Tuke region, remain undisturbed. The Tuke Rainforest Conservancy will protect the rainforest from  logging and palm activities that pressure the region. Find out more at www.wildark.com
